The Journey To The Center Of Earth Movie



1.Orientation :
The journey to the center of earth is a colosal box affice film which get academy award, winning visual effect artist Eric Brevig. This film is adaptation of the classic Jules Verne fantasy, starring by Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson, and Anita Briem. Genre of this film is science fiction/fantasy, adaptation, action/adventure, and drama. The film which produced in United States had spend $ 101,702,060 u.s.

2.Interpretative Recaunt :
The film tells about the adventure between Provesor Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser), his teeneger nephew, Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson), and a beautiful local guide, Hannah Asgeirsson. The story begins when sean, come to Trevor’s house to spend a week vacation with his uncle. Before Sean’s mother leave Trevor’s house, she gives a box to Trevor that belonged to his missing brother, Max. And in that box, Trevor find a book which references to the last journey of his brother. He decide to followthe steps of Max with sean, and they travel to iceland where they meet the guide, Hannah. While climbing a mountain, there is a thunderstrom and they protect themselves in a cave. However, a lightening collapses the entrance an they was trapped in the cave. They seek an exit and falls in a hole, discovering a lost world in the center of earth. They find place which max had spend time there. They built a raft to go by sea to reach geyser to help them come to the surface through a volcano. After a few adventures at sea and after being separated from each other, in final or reached geyser meet with a skeleton of a dinosaur jaw. Arrived in volcanic magma was still not so high and the walls of the vulcano was magnesium. Trevor ignite the magnesium to make steam which can reach magma and get out of pressure which is in contact with water magma. And finally they can go to the surface.

3.Evaluation :
The film became interesting because the picture technic was very exelent. It can be seen on the scene when they are in the center of earth. Beside that, this film have some scene which the situation is feel excite and humor in the same time. It can be seen when they fall straight down for thousands of feet, they still carry on a conversation and Trevor say “we’re still falling!”

4.Evaluation Situation :
We almost can’t find the weakness of this film. But there are some scene that looked illogically. There are first of all, in this film, no matter how frequently or how far they fall, they will land without injury. Second, there isn’t a moment in the movie when anyone seems frightened or despair, although they were trapped miles below the surface in a cave, being chased by its hungry inhabitants, or not evenduring a fall straigt down for thousand of feet. Third, is in the abandoned mine, it still has lamps hanging over the rails, and the electricity is still on after all these year. And the last, in the center of earth there is still has an cell phone signal.

1.Orientation :
49 days is a korean drama series which release on March 16, 2011. This film is directed by Jo Young Kwang, starring by Lee Yo Won as Song Yi Kyung , Nam Gyu Ri as Shin Ji Hyun , Jo Hyun Jae as Han Kang, Bae Soo Bin as Kang Min Ho, Jung Il Woo as Scheduler / Song Yi Soo, and Seo Ji Hye as Shin In Jung. Genre of this film is fantasy, and romance. This film is produced in South Korea.

2.Interpretative Recaunt :
The film tells about peoples’ destinies and true love. This film begin when Shin Ji Hyun, a girl that gets into a big car accident a few days before her wedding. Her soul walks around and she meets the scheduler, the one that decides when someone dies. He tells Ji Hyun that she has 49 days to get three drops of tears in order to return to her body and become conscious again. Three drops of tears each from someone that is crying because of her. During the day, she lives in the body of Song Yi Kyung who is a woman that lost her family when she was a little girl and lived in the orphanage. Yi Kyung lives alone several years after her best friend’s death and she doesn’t care about her life and career. Through her 49 days, Ji Hyun discovers that her fiance cheated on her and is trying to steal her family’s assets. She also discovers that her long time friend, Han Kang, is the man that truly loves her. After a few days finally, Ji Hyun get 3 drops of tears of the people who really love her. On the day she woke up, the scheduler informed her that she is the last name on his schedule and he will take her back in 6 days. As she knows that she was meant to die regardless of the tears, she decided to show the people in her life that she lived happily and send them a sweet farewell.

3.Evaluation :
The film became interesting because this film offered some funny parts where we can laugh but on the other hand, cried a lot because of some devastating scenes. It worshiped the divinity of love, taught us the real human figures and personalities, ambitions, etc. Beside that, his film has an unexpected ending story, and caused us to have conflicting feelings of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. We’re first led to believe that Yi kyung sheds the last tear for Jihyun, but then we get another surprise as Yikyung is blood-related to Jihyun, so there’s no way that she could’ve done that. And then in the last episode, we find out that she’s actually going to return to death. She has been scheduled to die in a matter of days right after she comes back to life from her coma. We reach the climax and we are made to believe that the resolution will be a joyful one, but in the end, Jihyun dies.

4.Evaluation Situation :
We almost can’t find the weakness of this film. But there is a scene that can’t be trusted, there is how the souls will really inhabit other souls to fulfill missions so that they can return to life – it’s like playing with death. We also think that for four people to find out that Jihyun’s ghost existed in the body of Song Yikyung was far-fetched. It’s sort of ridiculous.
